The SUNYIT Provost’s Lecture Series continues on Monday, May 12, noon-2 p.m., in Donovan Hall Rm. 1242 with a presentation by Tom Steele, Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada. The title of his presentation is “Symmetry: A unifying principle in theoretical physics.”

Steele’s area of research is theoretical elementary particle physics; he will review the role of symmetry in physics in general, and in particle physics in particular. His lecture is sponsored by Amir H. Fariborz, professor of physics at SUNYIT.

The Provost’s Lecture Series allows SUNYIT faculty and visiting faculty to share their research interests and activities with colleagues, the campus community and the general public.
