One year ago, a group of Lewis County education and government leaders toured Mohawk Valley Community College and the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica to learn more about how to tap into the growing nanotechnology industry there. That led to the formation of a working group of local government, education and industry representatives headed by Tracy J. Gyoerkoe, director of career and technical education at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES.
