Carthage High School alumni Mariana Ames and Meghan Serota concluded a record-setting season for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute women’s lacrosse team Saturday with an 11-7 loss to FDU-Florham in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Wildcats won a program-record 13 games and captured their first North Eastern Athletic Conference championship.
Ames, who graduated from Carthage in 2014, tied for the team lead with 86 points. She recorded a team-best 39 assists and scored 47 goals, the third-most on the team.
