If you're preparing for a night of New Year's festivities - don't forget the kids. There's a family-friendly event going on a little early - "Noon Year's Eve" in at "SUNY Poly" Children's Museum of Science and Technology in Troy. There are two sessions - chock full of hands-on exhibits and activities - like face painting, and creating "fireworks in a jar". One session starts at 9:30 this morning, the other at noon.
