WKBW: Training workers for Buffalo's newest jobs
Governor Andrew Cuomo was back in Buffalo on Wednesday, spending more of the Buffalo Billion on a development project that will help staff other development projects.
"We have a problem. We're creating so many jobs, and so many good jobs, advanced manufacturing jobs, that we now have to make sure we have the people to fill them," the governor said.
That's the thought behind the new 'Workforce Development Center' announced on Wednesday. $29 million dollars to transform an old manufacturing plant into a high tech training center.
"It's about preparing workers for the jobs that are coming to this region like SolarCity at Riverbend," Empire State Development's Howard Zemsky said.
