WKTV: Local SUNY Schools, parents react to free tuition benefit in state budget

"We're hoping that it increases the number of applications and increases our enrollment," William Durgin, SUNY Polytechnic Institute Provost said. "We have capacity for a greater number of students than we have right now. On average, we've been growing by 8 percent per year for the last four years, so we're on path to get to 3,500 undergraduate students by 2020, so we're really hoping that this gives us a boost in building the strength in our undergraduate programs."
