The City of Utica has accepted refugees with open arms for decades, and now an exhibit is opening at SUNY Poly to tell their stories. Organizers with The Faces of Refugee Resettlement in Central New York are hosting an opening reception this afternoon (Wednesday, September 14) at 4:30pm .

The exhibit features portraits of refugees who have settled in the area, from Cambodia to Sudan. These refugees have faced political conflict, ethnic strife and war.

The exhibit stays open through October 9th in the Gannett Gallery.
