MARCY, N.Y. – SUNY Polytechnic Institute is the fifth and final recipient of this year’s Leading EDGE awards, which recognizes innovative efforts in the Mohawk Valley.

SUNY Poly was chosen in recognition of its face mask project, which produced 3D-printed parts for face shields that could be used by local health care workers. The production of this personal protective equipment started in April at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
