Synergy in Partnerships, Advanced Research, and Knowledge (SPARK) Workshops Supports New Collaborations and White Papers
The Office of Research hosts SPARK Workshops to strengthen industry and government collaborations, develop interdisciplinary proposals for external grants, and create white papers for major agencies.
2026 SPARK Workshop dates will be announced early spring.
Thanks to the support and enthusiasm on campus, the 2025 Summer SPARK Workshops were a great success with:
60 total participants, including 10 external collaborators.
- 34 "speed talks" from faculty and industry partners.
- 87% of participants who completed the "Exit Survey" indicated that the SPARK Workshops, overall, were "very good" or "excellent".
Comments from the Exit Survey include:
- "It was really interesting to hear from people!"
- "I liked the [Speed Talks]. It was a good way to get to know my fellow faculty."
- "[Whitepaper sessions] were very beneficial."
- "I thought the speaker and dinner were excellent!!! Thank you"
