This agreement provides graduates of Berkshire Community College's Health Information Management Certificate programs with a transfer pathway into the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Information Management (Online) degree at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Objectives of the Agreement:
To guarantee admission of qualified transfer students from Berkshire Community College who satisfy the criteria described in this agreement.
To attract and support students seeking to advance their education in Health Information Management.
To provide clear information for transfer students who wish to pursue a baccalaureate degree.
To encourage academic coordination between Berkshire Community College and SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Agreement:
SUNY Polytechnic Institute agrees to accept Berkshire Community College students who complete the Health Information Management Ce1tificate program(s) and meet the admissions requirements in effect at the time of transfer for the B.S. in Health Information Management (Online).
Students who follow the approved course equivalencies receive the corresponding transfer credit toward degree requirements at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Both institutions agree to encourage participation by providing information and advising to prospective transfer students. Berkshire Community College will list the agreement on its website and in advising materials.
Both institutions may publicize this articulation in appropriate catalogs, bulletins, and online resources.
The terms of this articulation will remain in effect indefinitely or until amended by muhial agreement. Curriculum changes at either institution that do not substantially alter the course equivalencies will not affect the validity of this agreement.
