Accreditation

SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) is accredited by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. Its academic programs are registered by the State Education Department.

Middle States Commission on Higher Education
SUNY Poly is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Mid-Atlantic Region Commission on Higher Education, doing business as MSCHE, is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (Candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions.

MSCHE is also recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to accredit degree-granting institutions which offer one or more post-secondary educational programs of at least one academic year in length in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and other geographic areas in which the Commission conducts accrediting activities.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredits SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Business programs. These include undergraduate degree programs in accounting (BSA) and business (BSBA/BBA) as well as the following graduate programs: MBA in Technology Management (MBA TM) and MS in Accountancy (MSA). www.aacsb.edu

Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
SUNY Poly's educational programs in health information management are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
The undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are registered by the New York State Education Department and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The CCNE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an accrediting agency for nursing programs at both the baccalaureate and graduate levels. Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (EAC/ABET)
The following programs are accredited by EAC/ABET: Civil Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Nanoscale Engineering.

Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET (ETAC/ABET)
The following programs are accredited by ETAC/ABET: Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
