Getting Started with Brightspace

New to Brightspace? Start by completing the student orientation tutorial to become familiar with the platform and its features.

Helpful Tips for Students

1. Review your notification settings.

   Learn how to update your Brightspace notification settings (opens in a new tab) to ensure you receive important course announcements and updates.

2. Select the correct semester.

   Under the "My Courses" widget, make sure you have selected the appropriate semester to view your courses.

3. Check your course enrollment.

   If your instructor is using Brightspace but your course does not appear, verify that you are officially registered. It may take approximately 24 hours after registration for a course to appear in Brightspace.

4. Check your spam or junk folder.

   If you are not receiving Brightspace emails or notifications, confirm your notification settings are enabled and check your spam or junk email folder.

5. Contact your instructor.

   If you have questions about course content, assignments, deadlines, or other course-specific information, reach out to your instructor.
