SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Master of Science Degree in Nursing has been ranked among the top ten online nursing master degree programs in the nation.

Ranked #6 by OnlineMasters.com, SUNY Poly proudly ranks alongside fellow institutions the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (#4) and John Hopkins University (#3).

OnlineMasters.com, an industry-leading educational research organization, announces the release of their Best Online MSN Programs for 2018. They have identified the top 50 programs in the nation that are the best in the areas of curriculum quality, program flexibility, affordability, and graduate outcomes.

Leveraging an exclusive data set comprised of interviews and surveys with current students and alumni, insights from health industry experts, and hiring managers from clinics and hospitals; over 800 online nursing degree programs were analyzed with 50 programs making it to the final 2018 list of the Best MSN Programs. The methodology also incorporates the most recent data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and statistical data from the National Center for Education Statistics. Most importantly, only programs from accredited nonprofit institutions were eligible.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, by 2024 there will be over a million career openings for registered nurses, largely due to the rising number of older Americans. With the nation on the verge of a severe shortage of well-trained nurses, there is an unprecedented need for advanced nursing degrees. Graduates of MSN programs are not just vital to the future of the healthcare industry, but the welfare of the country.
