Rome Sentinel: SUNY Poly to host Mohawk Valley Mini Maker Fair
A Mohawk Valley Mini Maker Faire will be presented by SUNY Polytechnic Institute n Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the SUNY Poly Student Center, the college announced.
The event is a collaboration between SUNY Poly and individual makers and participating institutions including thINCubator, Sculpture Space, Munson Williams Proctor Arts institute, The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, and the Utica Children’s Museum.
“Whether an engineer, scientist, craft maker, or artist, we all have a desire and curiosity to create, no matter the final product, and SUNY Poly is proud to partner with thINCubator and a number of local organizations to host this important event on our Utica campus,” said SUNY Poly interim President Bahgat Sammakia. The event “provides an incredible venue for all these makers to not only show off their skill set and passion, but also to engage others to do the same.”
