Latest Ranking From College Consensus Compares I.T. Management Programs From Both Public and Private Higher Education Institutions

ALBANY, NY – SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s (SUNY Poly’s) online master of science in Information Design and Technology (IDT) has been ranked eighteenth among 25 public and private colleges and universities throughout the United States, based on its reputation, convenience, and affordability.

The latest ranking from College Consensus is a result of a national comparison of universities that offer an online master’s in information technology management, information systems and information management, earning SUNY Poly strong scores in convenience (100 percent), and an in affordability (93.03 percent). 

“I am elated that SUNY Poly has been recognized for this multidisciplinary program through which students are able to apply what they learn in a variety of professional fields,” said SUNY Poly Professor of Anthropology Dr. Kathryn Stam. “Our students go on to pursue web design, educational technology, media creation, and higher education services, just to name a few areas.”

“SUNY Poly’s master of science in Information Design and Technology equips students with lifelong skills to excel in many fields, whether they choose to be a social media strategist or someone who works in education or the private sector,” said College of Arts & Sciences Dean Dr. Andrew Russell. “The strength of this program reflects SUNY Poly’s sustained investment in online education, as well as the excellence and creativity of our faculty and program alumni.”

The latest ranking is announced just two months after College Consensus ranked SUNY Poly’s online MBA program No. 1 New York State. SUNY Poly last year also ranked 12th in the “Best Regional Universities-North” category, 2nd in “Best Value Colleges” for Regional Universities-North, and 2nd for “Top Public Schools” Regional Universities-North by U.S. News & World Report.
