SUNY Poly joins study to convert glucose test system
Albany
Scientists in Albany and two other schools are sharing $837,000 in federal funding to convert a sensor designed to measure glucose levels in humans into one that can detect climate change.
James Castracane, head of the nanobioscience department at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany, said the climate change sensor will be based on technology used in a sensor that measures glucose levels before kidney transplants.
