Sonny Cirasudo admired a wooden chess set before him.
“I made these pieces with a 3-D printer,” the 10th-grade Whitesboro student said. “It was hard, but it was really fun to do.”
>He enjoys wood shop in school and took pleasure in designing the pieces, crafting the board, adding felt and painting them.
It took him four months, but he was able to display it at the 14th annual Mohawk Valley Technology Education and Pre-engineering Showcase Thursday at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
