Annual Robotics Workshop at SUNY Polytechnic Institute
Advances in Interactive AI Robotics
Date: Saturday, November 23, 2024
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Room A129 MPR, Kunsela Hall, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, 100 Seymour Road, Utica, NY 13502
Presenter: Organized by the Center for Safe and Secure AI Robotics and the Global Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Materials
Description: AI robotics is the cutting edge of automation because it exploits brain-inspired computational paradigms to achieve robotic autonomy. In addition, the qualitative leap forward in performance of very large neural networks (foundation models) points the way to new levels of human-robot and robot-robot interaction. In this workshop we will explore how deep learning is changing interactive robotics and the challenges ahead in terms of hardware, software, advanced manufacturing, and materials.
Abstracts are being solicited for poster presentations in all areas of robotics, AI, manufacturing, and materials. Students who give a poster presentation at the symposium can register free of charge. Awards will be given for the best poster presentations at the graduate student, undergraduate student, and high school student levels.
Deadline: Register by Monday, November 18
Age Range: graduate student, undergraduate student, and high school student levels
Fees:
- Registration Fee (to be paid upon receipt of event badge)
- Faculty: $15
- High School Teachers: $10
- Students: $5
