Academic Calendar Fee Information
- Late Registration: Late registration begins August 7, 2026. A $40 late registration fee will be charged for returning students registering August 7 or later. Beginning September 8, 2026, the $40 late registration fee will be charged for all students approved to register.
Adding Classes: Classes may be added during the first week without charge. During the second week of classes, September 8–13, 2026, students will be charged a $20 add fee and must obtain the instructor's signature or approval.
Dropping Classes: Classes may be dropped during the first week without charge. During the second week of classes, September 8–13, 2026, students will be charged a $20 drop fee.
Students may drop a course without an academic record during the first two weeks of classes, through September 13, 2026.
Students cannot drop their last class through Banner Web. Dropping all classes beginning on the first day of classes constitutes a withdrawal from SUNY Poly and requires completion of the withdrawal form.
Course Withdrawal: Officially dropping a course beginning the third week of classes through the last day of class instruction, September 14–December 11, 2026, will result in a W grade.
Students who have seen or completed their final exam or project are ineligible for withdrawal. There is a $20 fee to process a withdrawal form.

- December 2026 Graduates: Potential December 2026 graduates should have applied to graduate by June 1, 2026. Contact the Registrar's Office immediately if you have not yet applied.
