All faculty, staff and students are issued a SUNY Polytechnic Institute ID card. SUNY Poly ID cards may be obtained from Auxiliary Services, located at the Wildcat Den on the first floor of Kunsela Hall.
Building Access
Exterior doors at the residence halls and at least one exterior entrance to each administrative building, including the Campus Center, are equipped with SUNY Poly ID card readers for authorized building access.
Student Access
Students can access their assigned residence halls using their SUNY Poly ID card. Exterior door keys to the residence halls are not issued.
Students who require access to specific laboratories must complete the SUNY Poly Card - Lab Access Request Form (PDF).
Faculty Access
Faculty can access their assigned buildings using their SUNY Poly ID card. Full-time faculty are provided 24-hour, seven-day access to the building in which their office is located.
Staff Access
Staff members are provided building access based on their work responsibilities. Supervisors should notify University Police of the specific doors and times for which an employee requires access. University Police will then authorize the employee's SUNY Poly ID card for the appropriate building access.
Lost or Stolen SUNY Poly ID Cards
Lost or stolen SUNY Poly ID cards should be reported immediately to the University Police Department. A replacement fee may apply for lost cards.
