Any out-of-state applicant should be advised that SUNY Polytechnic Institute is a NC-SARA member for online education. Guidance from NC-SARA for professional programs can be found on the NC-SARA website.
Out-of-state applicants should be aware of the following required conditions:
- Candidates planning to get licensed in a state other than NY need to call the State Board for nursing in that state to be sure that SUNY Poly’s program meets the requirements for licensure in that state.
- Out-of-state candidates need an RN license in New York State AND the state they are currently in.
- All out-of-state preceptors need an RN NY license in addition to a license in their state.
- SUNY Poly is not responsible to find clinical sites outside of NY state.
