BS Nursing - Full Time

Admission criteria include a minimum of 30 lower-division nursing credits and 28 liberal arts credits. Completed liberal arts coursework should include: A&P I and II, Microbiology, English Composition, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Developmental Psychology, and 4 credits of General Education (from the following categories: The Arts, Humanities, World Languages, US History and Civic Engagement, World History and Global Awareness, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice). A total of 120 credits and 135 direct and indirect practicum hours are required to earn the BS in nursing.

Courses with direct or indirect practicum hours to be completed

  • * NUR 444 – 45 direct hours working with a nursing leader, nursing manager, or nursing supervisor.
  • * NUR 475 – 40 direct hours working with someone in a community agency, such as school nursing, home care agencies, hospice, homeless shelters, or outpatient facilities; and 27.5 indirect hours completing a windshield survey and education project.
  • * NUR 478 – 16 direct hours working with a discharge planner, nurse navigator, or care coordinator; and 6.5 indirect hours completing a health literacy assessment with a patient.

BS Nursing - Part Time
