Eligibility
First-year and transfer students are invited to apply for the ACE Program at SUNY Poly. In order to qualify for the ACE program for Fall 2024, you must meet the appropriate criteria:
First-Year Student
- U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
- Reside in New York State and qualify for in-state tuition
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and NYS Excelsior Scholarship applications - Eligible for PELL, TAP, and/or Excelsior and accept all grants on financial aid plan*
- Accepted first-year student at SUNY Poly
- Enroll full-time in an on-campus, ACE-approved program (minimum 15 credits per semester)
- Note: All majors, except Nursing, are eligible majors for enrollment in the ACE Program.
- Commit to the completion of an eligible major within four years.
- Not a participant in the EOP or CSTEP
Transfer Student
- U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
- Reside in New York State and qualify for in-state tuition
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and NYS Excelsior Scholarship applications - Eligible for PELL, TAP, and/or Excelsior and accept all grants on financial aid plan*
- Accepted transfer student at SUNY Poly who has previously earned, or will earn prior to the start of classes in semester you are admitted to SUNY Poly, an associate degree
- Enroll full-time in an on-campus, ACE-approved program (minimum 15 credits per semester)
- Note: All majors, except Nursing, are eligible majors for enrollment in the ACE Program. Students enrolled in online degree program formats are not eligible for ACE at SUNY Poly.
- Commit to the completion of an eligible major within two years.
- Not a participant in the EOP or CSTEP
* For Fall 2024, Students are not required to be in receipt of Pell but must be in receipt of at least $1 of federal or state financial aid.
