Brett Yarnall Smolenski

Dr. Smolenski received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Temple University in 2005. His current research interests include: low-noise analog and mixed-signal circuit design, such as self-calibrating and digitally controlled amplifiers and filters; array and nonlinear signal processing; as well as unsupervised machine learning and open-set deep learning. He was awarded a patent for his work in enabling automatic speaker identification systems to be robust to overlapping speakers and has published over 35 scientific articles. He was inducted into the Etta Kappa Nu honor society, is a member of the IEEE, and also has an Extra Class amateur radio operator license.
