Responsibilities
Ms. Cotter provides SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) with leadership, organization, and coordination in support of SUNY Poly’s key program activities; encompassing program planning, program management, and program governance thru the Program Office. She facilitates high performance by ensuring projects administered by SUNY Poly adhere to best practices and standard approaches for program management. She provides tools and resources for project leaders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables and milestones, schedules, stakeholders, resource needs, dependencies, budgets, and risks and also aligns interactions with project leads, business support units, and program advisory bodies to coordinate program activities, build alignment, and deliver on commitments. Ms. Cotter also manages multidisciplinary programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high performance standards. She tracks progress of large-scale programs; and communicates program status, major achievements, risks, and project issues to the Assistant Vice President of Program Management Support on a regular basis.
