Meet the Staff

Dr. Joanne Joseph
Interim Dean, College of Health Sciences

Dr. Joseph is a social/clinical psychologist with diverse interests in the areas of adverse childhood experiences, trauma, resilience and physical health. Her current research studies focus on the effects of adverse childhood experiences on pregnancy outcomes, epigenetics, PTSD in military veterans and bullying.
Dr. Joseph is the recipient of a number of teaching and service awards including the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Service.
As a practicing clinician, Dr. Joseph regularly consults for health care agencies and K-12 schools.


Caryn Schweinsberg
Director of the Liberty Partnership Program at SUNY Poly

Mrs. Schweinsberg is a graduate of SUNY Polytechnic with a B.S. in Community and Behavioral Health. Caryn’s professional interests are in the areas of school prevention, mental health support and social emotional learning to promote positive outcomes in children and adolescents. Prior to assuming the Director role for LPP, Mrs. Schweinsberg worked for several other local non-profit agencies serving vulnerable populations experiencing mental health and substance abuse challenges.

Caitlin Bajrektarevic
Assistant Director of Liberty Partnership Program at SUNY Poly
Mrs. Bajrektarevic is a graduate SUNY Polytechnic with a B.S. in Community and Behavioral Health. Prior to assuming the Assistant Director role for LPP, Mrs. Bajrektarevic worked in the fields of crisis prevention and mental health with several local agencies. Mrs. Bajrektarevic is passionate about ensuring youth have access to resources that will help them succeed. Her professional interests include education and school prevention.

Eva Fuess
Ms. Eva Fuess is a graduate of SUNY Polytechnic with a B.S. In Community and Behavioral Health. Prior to receiving this role, Ms. Fuess was involved with advocating for student mental and physical health on her campus. Ms. Fuess is currently seeking a master's in social work from the University at Buffalo. Her professional interests include student mental health and school prevention.
