After the conclusion of a careful and thorough search process, I am pleased to announce that Jim Lloyd will join SUNYIT as vice president for administration. He currently serves as assistant vice president for campus operations at Baruch College in New York. Previously, Jim was associate vice president of finance and administration and director of facilities at Oregon State University. In addition, he brings to SUNYIT extensive private sector experience at companies including IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and Syska & Hennessy.

In selecting SUNYIT's next vice president for administration, we were fortunate to have a number of well-qualified candidates. My thanks to Deborah Tyksinski, chair of the search committee, its members, and all those who made this successful search possible.

My thanks to John Swann, who will continue to serve as interim VP until Jim begins work on April 1. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the newest member of the SUNYIT family!
