Nursing Education Perspectives

SUNY Polytechnic Institute Associate Professor of Nursing Darlene M. Del Prato, PhD, RN, CNE, and SUNY Poly Professor of Nursing Esther G. Bankert, PhD, RN, published, "Academic Grade Inflation in Nursing Education: A Scoping Review of the Qualitative and Quantitative Literature," in the January 2021 issue of Nursing Education Perspectives.

Twelve studies were reviewed to find out "what is known from literature about academic grading practices and grade inflation in nursing education," concluding that an evaluation of strategies to "mitigate grade inflation in nursing education is urgently needed."
