Title IX on the 9th

In the June Title IX on the 9th post, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group provided the campus community with our training and education plan for students and employees for 2015-2016. The plan was developed in order to achieve SUNY Poly’s goal to educate 100% of both the student and employee populations on SUNY’s new Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Policies. This month, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group would like to take the opportunity to provide an update on SUNY Poly’s progress towards that goal.
To date, approximately 73% of SUNY Poly’s current faculty and staff members have participated in our Title IX and Sexual Harassment Awareness, Responsibility, and Prevention (SHARP) training. Approximately 77% of the student population has completed Not Anymore, an interactive online program focusing on sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking prevention that was first introduced in the Fall 2015 semester.
With the start of the Spring semester, additional dates for trainings will be scheduled for employees who have not yet participated, and the Not Anymore program will be completed by new incoming students and any students that did not complete in the Fall Semester. If you have any questions on the trainings, please contact the Title IX Coordinators at TitleIX@sunypoly.edu.
