US News and World report is out with its college rankings and several local schools rank high. In the "best liberal arts colleges in the nation" category - Colgate University and Hamilton College are tied at number 12. In the category for "best public schools in the north region"- SUNY Poly is ranked number 3 and SUNY Oneonta is ranked number 12.
