Upon acceptance, all transfer courses will be entered into Degree Works which is a degree audit system. Once your transfer courses are mapped to the degree you have been admitted into, Degree Works will calculate your academic standing in your program. When your degree audit is available for your review, you will be sent an e-mail notification that includes instructions and login information for your account.
Credit Evaluation Review Process
Once a student’s initial credit evaluation is completed by the Admissions Office, it undergoes an additional review to ensure accuracy and alignment with program requirements.
Each academic program’s coordinator reviews the evaluation to:
- Confirm course equivalencies
- Ensure credits are applied appropriately to program and degree requirements
- Verify compliance with academic and accreditation standards
This secondary review helps provide students with the most accurate understanding of how their prior coursework applies to their chosen program. If adjustments are needed, the credit evaluation is updated accordingly before it is finalized and shared with the student.
We encourage prospective students to use the Transfer articulation tables to find the appropriate equivalent course at your current college. The transfer articulation tables include courses that have been previously transferred into SUNY poly and all transfer course equivalencies are reviewed by academic departments on a regular basis and are subject to modification. Please also utilize the undergraduate catalog to review the course listings for each degree program.
