Does your partner tell you what to do? Has your partner threatened you with physical harm? Does your partner call you names or tell you that you are worthless?
Domestic violence can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, economic background, religious beliefs, marital status or sexual orientation. Abuse can be verbal, emotional, sexual, physical, psychological or economic, and abusive behavior may become more severe over time.
Behaviors that intimidate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt or injure someone can be forms of abuse. Domestic violence is dangerous and can be fatal.
