Graduates of the MS Nursing Program will:
- Embody a curiosity for and engage in creative solutions with evidence-based initiatives to mitigate the challenges in practice, education and leadership.
- Assure the individual’s rights to self-directed healthcare is at the center of all practice, education and leadership decisions.
- Represent the values, norms, and mores of the nursing profession with commitment and veracity in advanced practice roles.

In addition, graduates of the MS Nursing Program in Nursing Education will:
- Design curriculum reflective of education frameworks and nursing science.
- Create instructional designs grounded in evidence-based strategies and technological advances that meet diverse learning needs of adult students.
- Evaluate conventional measures of assessment for student learning and program quality.
- Engage as a nurse educator in the governance of educational settings to promote the scholarship of teaching and advance the future direction of nursing education.
