Experience world-class research facilities and work with award-winning nanoscale science and engineering faculty at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. The semester at SUNY Poly experience includes both lecture and research style coursework for a fully complementary experiential training environment. The SUNY Poly undergraduate curriculum provides upper level coursework that has unique training opportunities for a range of disciplines including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical and bioengineering, materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, physics, chemistry and biology. The SUNY Poly coursework will directly supplement a student’s curriculum within their home institution as well as potentially serve as transfer credits towards their undergraduate degree.
Research courses with SUNY Poly faculty in a chosen concentration area have variable credits ranging from 1.0 to 6.0 credits.

Students participating in this program are assigned a Semester at SUNY Poly advisor who will assist in assembling a personalized plan that best meets their needs. As an example, a student in this program may register for 6-7 credits of lecture and up to 6 credits of research, but variations can be made to best match interests as well as faculty lab availability.
