Once you are registered for non-degree coursework, complete the following steps to successfully start the semester.
Essentials for Non-Degree Students provides detailed information about critical student services and resources at SUNY Poly necessary for student success. Complete Essentials by going to Brightspace and clicking on the Essentials tab at the top of the page. Select Essentials Online Orientation for Non-Degree Students. Please anticipate spending about 30 minutes completing it.
Your campus computer account (SITNet ID) gives you access to a variety of SUNY Poly computer resources including Banner (student record system), college e-mail, Brightspace (learning management system), and more. Follow the online instructions to activate your SITNet ID. If necessary, troubleshoot login issues with Information Technology Services.
SUNY Poly email is the college’s official channel of communication with you. Examples of what you will receive via email include semester billing statements, messages from professors, campus announcements, etc. Email can be accessed by going to sunypoly.edu and clicking on the Email/Intranet link found at the bottom of the page.

Students requiring access to campus for any reason (classes, library, fitness center, pantry, etc.) are required to show proof of a COVID Vaccine, or appropriate exemption. Learn more.
All full-time students, and all nursing students (regardless of credit hours) are required to comply with mandatory health requirements which include providing proof of immunizations and a physical exam. Forms are available online.

SUNY Poly does not mail paper billing statements. It is your responsibility to login to Banner to view your bill, confirm your charges, and make payment by the due date. Billing notifications will also be sent to your SUNY Poly email account. You run the risk of losing your course registration information if your bill is not paid by the due date. The bill due date can be found on the appropriate academic calendar.
