Under the CDC’s new Respiratory Virus Guidance, it is recommended for all employees with respiratory illnesses to stay home and stay away from others.
Employees can resume normal activities after at least 24 hours when both are true:
• Symptoms are getting better overall
• The employee has not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)
Upon returning to work, it is suggested employees wear a mask and practice social distancing for the following five days.
