SCT Banner is SUNY Poly's central information system for all student, alumni, faculty and staff data. Everyone uses it to update their SITNet ID security question & answer, and personal contact information (i.e. phone number, address, alternate email address, emergency contact, etc.).
Students use it to register for courses, obtain class schedules, check grades, and access other services like health waivers and financial aid.
Faculty use Banner for advisement, to obtain class rosters, and submit grades.
The first time a student, faculty or staff member logs in to Banner, the SITNet ID activation begins.
