RE:      2016 SEFA Campaign ______________________________________________________________________________

We are writing to ask that you consider supporting the 2016 State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign, an annual effort that offers NYS employees the opportunity to contribute to charitable causes in local communities and to organizations that are statewide, national, or international in scope. Each year, the SEFA Campaign runs from September through December.

Last year’s campaign was a huge success, with 84 employee donations totaling contributions of $11,499.  This is fantastic -- thank you!  We have set the 2016 goal at $12,000-- and we will definitely need your help to reach it.

A celebration of participation will be held to recognize all employees who participate in the 2016 campaign.  If you contribute to the campaign, please expect an email in the beginning of January 2017 with details about the celebration.

Sodexo has graciously donated two faculty/staff meal plan certificates (five all-you-can-eat meals) in the Campus Center Dining Hall. These dining certificates will be raffled off to two lucky SEFA donors at the celebration of participation event.

Material for this year’s campaign will be distributed to your team captains this week.

Pledge forms should be returned to your team captain no later than Monday, November 28, or directly to Audra or Laurie.
