Albany Business Review: First look at SUNY Polytechnic’s $191
million ZEN building
I wanted to share with you the following article that was published by the Albany Business Review:
SUNY Polytechnic Institute's latest expansion, the $191 million Zero Energy Nanotechnology building in Albany, New York, is scheduled to open in July. I visited last week to check out the progress construction workers are making. The building is designed to generate as much energy as it uses.
The project is expected to attract more than 1,500 well-paying jobs to the region. Some of the tenants will include M+W U.S. Inc., an engineering and contracting firm; Albany real estate developer Columbia Development; and CommerceHub, an Albany company that developed technology to help retailers process online orders.
Whiting-Turner is the general contractor for the project and Columbia Development is the construction manager.
