Buffalo Business First: IBM to hire 500 for new Buffalo office

IBM, which opened its Buffalo Innovation Center on Jan. 1 , would like to have about 50 people working at its Fountain Plaza office by the end of the year — and 500 in the next seven years.
Currently, 11 work at the north tower at 50 Fountain Plaza. Once Delaware North Cos. vacates the south tower, sometime later this year, IBM will begin its move to the top six floors there. That transition should be completed in 2016. This summer, Delaware North will move to 100,000 square feet of space at 250 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. They will be joined by the Department of Homeland Security.
