Classified Employees: Targeted Tuition Program for Welding

The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training is pleased to announce the continuation of the Targeted Tuition Program for Welding. This program provides tuition assistance to CSEA-represented NYS Operational Services Unit (OSU) and Division of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) employees who wish to take welding courses.

Eligible employees can receive up to two targeted tuition benefits (vouchers or reimbursements).  Each targeted benefit can cover one non-credit welding course up to $1,040 or one credit-bearing welding course, up to a maximum of four credits at the resident tuition per credit rate, not to exceed $260 per credit. Applications must be received by March 31, 2016 and courses must be in session sometime between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

Please distribute the attached promotional brochure to your managers, supervisors, and CSEA-represented OSU or DMNA employees. Additionally, consider announcing this program on your agency intranet with a link to the Partnership’s website at www.nyscseapartnership.org .
