Please take the opportunity to visit the Gannett Art Gallery during the month of October 2015 to view the Clothesline Project exhibit, provided to SUNY Polytechnic Institute, by the YWCA, Utica. This powerful exhibit bears witness to the violence against women. Each shirt is decorated to represent a particular woman's experience, by the survivor herself or someone who cares about her.The Clothesline Project's concept is to educate, document, and raise society's awareness of domestic violence, as well as help with the healing process for people who have lost a loved one or are survivors.

Please note the table with markers and construction paper - please provide your words or a picture of empowerment and add it to our wall. Additionally, if you purchase a ribbon for $1.00 through the Student Association, College Association, or the Bookstore, you will be given the ribbon to hang anywhere in our gallery. Thank you for your support.
