SUNY Polytechnic University Police is accepting registrations for the upcoming National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course being offered on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. The course will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Kunsela Hall B117, Utica.

Employees must obtain their supervisor’s permission prior to registration to ensure there is proper coverage in their department.

The cost is $20 for SUNY Poly* faculty, staff and students (*includes State, Research Foundation & College Association employees, retirees and students/alumni) and $30 for non-employees. To register for class, bring payment to University Police in Kunsela Hall, Suite B126. Make checks payable to the College Association.

By taking the NSC’s six-hour class, you will receive up to a 10% discount on your vehicle collision and liability insurance premiums each year for three years. This discount applies to the base rate of your automobile and motorcycle insurance premiums providing you are listed as the principal operator.

The same six-hour class may allow you to receive up to a four (4) point reduction on your driving record with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. (May be taken once every 18 months for point reduction.)
