Summary: The successful candidate will be a results oriented sales professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director of Sales or Senior sales manager. If you are an aggressive, creative professional looking to move to a new challenge with advancement potential, then the Radisson Hotel is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Sales: Targets appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan. Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license in order to make sales calls.

Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts; by identifying and capturing those who have potential growth.

New Account Development: Captures new accounts through networking, researching and reader board surveys in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.

Planning: Plans and implements an on-going targeted Account Development "Hit List" to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts. Continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation.

Yield Management: Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments in order to enhance the hotel's financial performance.

Account Service Management: Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system in order to service the client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.

Development: Develops strong customer relations; through frequent communication, professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction. Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account services and increased revenues.

Follow Up: Promptly follows up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.

Product Knowledge: Conducts research, surveys, personal investigation and studies marketplace and territory in order to effectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities.

Time Management: Focuses on revenue-producing activity; uses effective time management prioritizing focus on direct sales efforts.

Professionalism: Controls departmental expenses in order to minimize hotel costs.

Represents him/herself, and the hotel with the highest level of integrity, professionalism, a service centered approach and a sincere attitude at all times. Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communication with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.

Other Duties / Responsibilities:

Administration: Achieves activity goals as established by management and completes all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion. Contributes to the hotel's overall sales effort during planning and strategy phases through research and knowledge input.

Community / Trade Involvement: Actively participates in those community and fraternal organizations that most benefit the hotel's exposure to the community and the hotel's bottom line.

Requirements: Minimum of 3 years Hotel Sales Experience. Delphi Net and Hilton systems a plus.

The ideal candidate will be a leader, driver, and bottom line oriented team player. Should be highly motivated and self-directed, with strong initiative and desire for achievement. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to "Close the Deal".
