To the Campus Community:

Please be advised that SUNY Poly has been given notification of an Electric Demand Reduction for today, Friday August 12, 2016  from the NYISO.

This requires the campus to reduce our energy consumption in all possible areas.

We will be shutting down all non-essential electric loads as of Noon (12 PM)  today.

This WILL include Air Conditioning in some areas. Please take precautions to protect yourself & sensitive equipment from the extreme environmental/weather conditions predicted.

Also, in an effort to support the reduction, please shut down all non-essential electrical equipment, & unplug all potential "phantom loads" before noon today.

The Facilities department would like to take this time to thank the campus community for their continued support in our ongoing efforts for energy efficiency & conservation. Together, we have successfully reduced the carbon footprint of this campus.

We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for your cooperation.
