Judges, referees, and other volunteers needed as SUNY Poly hosts three FLL regional qualifiers in November as well as a Championship event on Saturday December 6 in the Field House. This year's tournament theme is WORLD CLASS; it's all about learning resources and innovations for the 21st century.
Hundreds of children ages 9-14 work in teams to design, build, and program autonomous robots using LEGO Mindstorms. Teams meet and compete and collaborate at regional qualifiers in hopes of moving up to the 12/6/14 Championship at SUNY Poly.
Volunteer training takes place TUESDAY OCTOBER 28 from 6-8pm in Donovan Hall G155. There will be another training for volunteers on 10/29 in Herkimer. Please let us know if you will help make this year's FLL events the best they can be by volunteering at a qualifier; we plan to recruit our Championship judges and referees from the ranks of our qualifier volunteers!
RSVP for the 10/28/14 volunteer training: fll@sunypoly.edu or call Elizabeth Rossi, X7383 for more information.
