Job Description:

MTA Bridges and Tunnels is seeking candidates for its Management Associates Program. Individuals selected as

Management Associates will work on high level projects while assigned to multiple departments under the direction of the

Authority’s Strategic Initiatives Group. Examples of these projects include large scale implementation of enterprise asset

management systems, new toll payment technologies, and improvements in electronic toll collection. Individuals selected

will work with Strategic Initiatives staff and be assigned to working teams for key projects. Management Associates will

gain professional experience through both on-the-job and formal training in the Management Associates Program.

The Management Associates Program provides opportunities for individuals with strong interpersonal skills and initiative to

gain critical work experience in one of the world’s leading toll agencies. The term of the Management Associates Program

is two years with the possibility of extending to an additional year. The goal of the program is to develop critical analytical,

communications, and project management skills that will enable Management Associates to pursue a career within the

MTA.

Specialized Knowledge:

Successful candidates will have quantitative and project management skills, and a track record of demonstrating initiatitve

and achieving results. Management Associates will be selected by demonstration of a range of technical skills which may

include knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Public Administration/Policy, Urban Studies/Plannning,

Transportation, Business Communications, and related fields.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Master Degree in a field as detailed above or

• Bachelor Degree in a field as detailed above

• Must have graduated with degree as listed above within the past 18 months

• Must be willing to adhere to policies concerning attendance at work and all rules and regualtions of the agency

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must possess quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Must be able to effectively work both independently and within a team

Preferred/Desirable:

• Prior related work/intern experience with a track record of achievement
