Hello!

If you’re receiving this email it’s because you are nearing the end of much hard work and determination as the semester draws to a close.  As we prepare to wrap up another season of courses, we would like your input through a Course Evaluation Survey that will allow us to shape the future of learning at SUNY Poly.

For many of you, this is something you have done previously for other courses.  For this semester, only the delivery of the survey is changing.  The same IDEA Diagnostic Feedback Form will again be used, but in total electronic format.  In an effort to promote green initiatives and sustainability, SUNY Polytechnic Institute will begin converting to an all-digital method of course evaluations conducted toward the end of each academic semester.

As you gather your thoughts and reflections on your courses, please remember that this survey is completely and totally anonymous.  Your instructor will not know who submitted which survey, what your individual answers are, and will not see the results until after final grades are posted.

Though you may start to receive multiple emails between now and when you complete the survey, please know that this is not spam. Reminders are automatically generated for each course in which you are enrolled in until your responses are submitted.  The sooner you take each survey, the sooner email reminders were come to an end.

The survey opens on April 17 and will close on April 30.  Please be sure, during that time, that you take a few minutes to fill out the survey with your honest thoughts and feelings toward the courses you have taken.  You will receive a survey notification and accompanying link to take that survey for each SUNY Poly course you are enrolled in this semester.  You should also be provided time in your class to complete it as well.

The purpose of these surveys is to help us see your point of view, to gain insight from you, as to what worked best and where we can do better in the future.  Continuous improvement is our goal.  Your input will make a difference not just to SUNY Poly now, but to all your future classmates who will take this course.

Thank you.

William W. Durgin, Provost
