In recognition of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Nano Utica initiative and as part of SUNY Poly’s month-long “NANOvember” celebration of nanotechnology, we will join with the Utica Comets for a “Nano Night” at the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Wednesday, November 12, beginning at 7 p.m. The Comets organization’s success in bringing an American Hockey League franchise to the area is an important quality-of-life measure of regional revitalization coupled with Nano Utica’s promise of renewed economic vitality makes this event a natural showcase for these two remarkable developments.
A limited number of free tickets to this event are available to faculty and staff at both campuses on a first-come, first-served basis; those who wish to purchase $12 tickets in a reserved Nano Utica section for spouses and other guests may do so. A limited number of guest tickets are available. To reserve tickets and for further information, please contact Esther McCarthy, esther.mccarthy@sunypoly.edu, no later than Monday, November 3.
Please join me for Nano Night at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, 400 Oriskany St. West, Utica, NY 13502, as the Comets take on the Chicago Wolves. It promises to be an exciting evening and a celebration of community progress.
