Recently a letter from David Morrell, SUNY University-Wide Benefits Administrator, was sent to the homes of employees who are on the state payroll announcing a new retirement and voluntary savings enrollment and management system called Retirement@Work.

As referenced in the letter, beginning November 3, 2017, this easy-to-navigate online system will be used to enroll new hires in the retirement plan and to enroll in the SUNY 403(b) Voluntary Savings Program, also called the Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA).

Through this new system, employees will be able to manage their 403(b) contributions and designate investment providers for the 403(b), if participating in the program.

Current participants in SUNY’s Optional Retirement Program (ORP) will be able to designate investment providers and have access to learn about plan benefits in a central place.

More information will be coming soon, over the next few weeks, including sign-on instructions and guidance on how to use the new system.

As soon as the Benefits Office has additional information about Retirement@work another notice will be sent.
